Hello Craftygon Community! Welcome to the first official Developer Log! We decided it was important to give you a look behind closed doors and let you know what we are working on behind the scenes to make Craftygon even better!

For those who are new here, Craftygon is a web-based 3D printing, manufacturing, & business support platform designed to empower creators, artists, and hobbyists to submit, manage, and produce 3D models directly through a seamless online interface. Since its launch, Craftygon has focused on combining intuitive user experience, robust backend functionality, and a streamlined digital asset pipeline to deliver a powerful toolset for both creators and internal operators. This developer log provides an overview of the platform’s current features and any updates to them, newly added systems, tool updates, and community initiatives.

New Core Member Tools

3D Printing On Demand (POD) Portal

  • Users can upload 3D models in multiple formats (.stl, .obg, .gtlb, & more).

  • Integrated real-time 3D viewer & print setting interface.

  • Instant quote click & print with branded fulfillment options.

  • Integrated shipping estimations for price & delivery

  • Integrated ability for users to use pre-paid shipping labels from Etsy, EBay, Amazon.

  • JSON file export & import for offline print setting storage.

  • Offline project download summary for user record keeping.

  • Improved file size limits from 20mb to 50mb.

Product Packages - *Our Secret Sauce*

  • Encrypted & secure file storage with our proprietary ZLink technology to enable sellers to sell products made by our designers without needing the 3D models. Protect your intellectual property and scale your product at the same time.

  • 2 Craftygon Standard Product Packages launched. Home Goods 1 & Pet Accessories 1. More product packages will be released in the future.

  • Opened opportunities for designers to partner with us and release their own product packages. (Email us at contact@craftygon.com)

  • Increased seller free trial duration from 7 days to 14 days.

3D Model marketplace

  • The newest place to buy & sell 3D models, but without the hassle of other “free” libraries, now live!

  • Updated designer upload & model manager interfaces to streamline submitting a 3D model to the marketplace.

  • Improved transparency for marketplace transactional fees pertaining to designers.

User Branded Fulfillment & Assets

  • Updated visual bugs with the User Branded Fulfillment & Asset Manager.

New Community Updates

Added Member Resources

  • Seller resources have been added to the Craftygon Member Dashboard. Learn more about how to be successful using our tools and being part of the Craftygon community

  • Moved ‘FAQ’ to The Member Resource Section

Added ‘The Community Hub’

  • Newly implement community hub chat.

  • 4 new chat channels. General, 3D Printing, Design & Support.

  • Added message editor tools (Bold, Italic, Underline, Monospace)

  • Added Emoji message tool

Updated ‘Quick Start Guide’ & Added to Member Resource Section

  • The Quick Start Guide has been updated and has been moved to the Member Resources section.

Community Updates

  • User testing has been implemented for selected beta creators to gather feedback on dashboard usability.

  • Active support via integrated user contact tools

  • Early community engagement has influenced pastel color selection, button interactions, and modal designs to improve aesthetic consistency.

Production Updates

  • New capacities for fabrication production including cut & sew, mold making & laser capabilities have scaled.

  • 3D printed part production increased over 20% in material efficiency with a small tweak to slicing software decreasing waste.

Craftygon continues to evolve into a fully-featured and integrated manufacturing & business support platform with a strong focus on usability, performance, and community engagement. The ongoing development efforts aim to expand creative capabilities, streamline internal operations, and enhance the overall experience for creators and operators alike. Future updates will focus on extending tool functionality, improving automation, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for our users, and of course bolstering possibilities to increase the amount of potential and capacity of our tools.
